From Bullet Wounds to Beats:
The TAG Music Story

Baltimore Roots & Survival

I was raised in the heart of West Baltimore, a place where being smart could get you hurt and hiding your intelligence felt like survival. I bounced through foster homes, watching cycles of violence and poverty shape the lives of kids around me.
 I was one of them.

Atlanta & Arrest

At 14, I moved to Atlanta hoping for something better. But I was angry, broke, and reckless. One night, at 18 years old, I made a choice I can never take back. I tried to rob a store. It went wrong. I was shot by police, and in that chaos, I watched my friend Cory Roberts (RIP) take his last breath.
That memory still visits me.

15 Years in GDC

I was sentenced to 15 years in the Georgia Department of Corrections. That’s where I learned who I really was.
 I didn’t just serve time—I served purpose.
I developed principles that helped me survive:
Mind Your Business.
Keep Your Hands to Yourself.
Watch What You Say Out Your Mouth.
Those rules kept me alive and focused in a place designed to break you.

Coming Home (2014)

I came home in 2014. Free, but not whole. I had kids who needed me. I became a full-time father, determined to raise them better than I had it. I enrolled at Georgia Piedmont Technical College to study Digital Media Production Tech—learning the skills that would one day help me tell my story.

Failing Forward

I started businesses—some failed fast, others failed slowly. But every time, I got sharper. From those failures came clarity. I knew I wanted to build something that merged creativity, entrepreneurship, healing, and technology.

The Birth of TAG Music Group

TAG Music Group was born from everything I survived. It’s a place for AI-generated music, custom theme songs for small business owners, second chances, and sonic storytelling. It’s about being heard without selling your soul. We use AI to elevate the voices that get ignored—the hustlers, the healers, the ones who made it out.

Final Word
TAG isn’t just a label. It’s proof. That you can come from nothing, and build something that changes everything.
